Bailey’s Measurement Guide

While each situation is unique, here are some simple steps to help make sure your furniture will fit through your doors and hallways.

First:

Take measurements of all the doors that will be used (i & ii) as well as the entry clearances of any hallway/room the furniture will move through (iii). Also, get all the measurements you'll need of the furniture - Height (H), Width (W), Depth (D), Diagonal Width (DW), Diagonal Depth (DD)

Next:

Make sure that one of two statements is true.
1.) The depth (D) or diagonal depth (DD) of the item is less than the width of the door (i), and the width (W) or diagonal width (DW) of the item is less than the entry clearance of the hallway/room (iii).
or
2.) The width (W) or diagonal width (DW) of the item is less than the height of the door (ii), and the depth (D) or diagonal depth (DD) of the item is less than the entry clearance of the hallway/room (iii).
